Tanya's Breakfast Casserole

3 cups shredded hashbrowns/ 3/4 cup shredded cheese
1 cup cooked diced ham/ 1/4 cup chopped green onions
4 eggs/ 1 can evaporated milk/ salt and pepper

Place potatoes in a 9x13 in pan. Sprinkle with cheese, ham, and onions. Beat eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour over the top of potato mixture. Do not mix. Cover and refridgerate overnight. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Serve while hot. It is sort of a breakfast quiche. This is soooooo good! We have this every Christmas for breakfast with blueberry muffins! Is is so easy and so good!
note: I also have put bacon or sausage in it but it really is better with ham.

Wendy's Jello Popcorn

3 bags buttered microwave popcorn
1 cup sugar
1 cup Karo syrup
1 cube butter or margerine
1 small pkg of sugar free jello any flavor

Cook popcorn according to directions. Remove all unpopped kernels. Boil all ingredients for 1 minute only. DO NOT OVERCOOK! Mix into popcorn. Yummy!

Granny's Homemade Oreo's

2 cups sugar/ 1 cup shortening
2 eggs/ 1 1/2 cup buttermilk
(for buttermilk can substitute with 1 1/2 cup milk add 2 Tble vinegar let set 5 minutes)
1/4 tsp salt/ 2 tsp soda
8 Tble cocoa/ 4 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Mix like cake. Drop by Tble on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
Let cool.

Filling:
1 cup margerine/ 1 cup powder sugar
4 Tble flour/ 4 Tble milk
1 tsp vanilla

Beat together til smooth. Spread between cookies.

Darlene's Cream Cheese Cookies

2 8oz Cream Cheese (softened)/ 1 cup butter or margerine
2 cup white sugar /4 eggs
2 Tbsp. Vanilla /2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt /4 cups flour

Reserve 3 oz of cream cheese for frosting. Beat cream cheese and butter together until lump free. Add the rest of ingredients. Blend well between each one. Drop with cookie scoop onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.

Frosting:

3 oz cream cheese 1/4 cup margerine
1 1/2 cup powder sugar

Mix well. Color frosting for the seasons!

Kaybree's Peanut Butter Chews

KAYBREE'S PEANUT BUTTER CHEWS

1 cup light Karo syrup
1 cup sugar (white or brown works fine)
1 cup peanut butter
7 cups Corn Flakes

Place Karo and sugar in saucepan. Bring to boil. Take off heat and add peanut butter. Quickly stir in Corn Flakes. Drop with ice cream scoop on waxed paper or aluminum foil sprayed with cooking spray. Let set up. These are awesome and fast. Kaybs loves them!!!

Grandma Sparks Molasses Cookies

GRANDMA SPARKS MOLASSES COOKIES

1 cup sugar/ 1 cup Molasses
1 cup shortening /1 tsp soda
3/4 cup milk/ 2 eggs
3 tsp baking powder /3 tsp spices (allspice, ginger, cinnamon or omit allspice use cloves)
1/2 tsp salt /enough flour to make like sugar cookie dough

Roll 1/4 to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutter. Cook on cookie sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Bake 12-15 minutes at 350 oven. (Can frost with cream cheese frosting!!!)

Pecan Butterscotch Cookies

This one doesn't transend generations, but it tastes like it. Its from my super fast and speedy cookbook. They're pretty tasty and easy. I think they're worth passing along...especially if your a non-baker like me.

Pecan Butterscotch Cookies

1 cup complete buttermilk biscuit mix (regular Bisquick works fine)
1 pkg (3.4 oz) butterscotch pudding mix
1/3 cup melted butter
1 Egg
1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted (toasting optional :)

Beat first 4 ingredients in a large bowl until blended. Add pecans. Drop onto greased cookie sheet and flatten with bottom of glass. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until golden. Makes 1-1/2 doz.
